Fate is yours.
Four years ago the mutant cure was released to the public, offering some hope to the world that peace could be found. A year later that same cure was deemed a fraud and riots started up once more. The results? The President of the United States was assassinated by a mutant, throwing the country into chaos.
Within weeks the Mutant Registration Act was passed by Congress, and shortly after that the Mutant Relocation Act. All mutants within the United States were rounded up and placed in various places. Some were locked away in prison, others were held captive in research laboratories, and still others were stuck in internment camps where death seemed better than living.
It was three years before a large breakout was managed successfully...and then another...and another. It seemed that mutants had finally gained the upper hand against their human counterparts; it seemed that the tides of senseless war were shifting.
This momentary bugle of hope faded abruptly with the presidential elections. Graydon Creed, the worst mutant hater of all, became the next President of the United States. His ultimate goal? The annihilation of all mutants. Since his election things have only gotten worse across the country. Sentinels roam free; mutants have turned against each other; innocent people die every day; and humans have begun taking the law into their own hands.
The hope of resolution now lies in five different hands: the X-Men, the Brotherhood of Mutants, S.H.I.E.L.D., the Hellfire Club, and an anti-mutant government. Each one has a different goal in mind; each one has a different plan. Sooner or later only one side will win.
Whose legacy will you follow?
