A place to stay

[Shauni]

" Well, looks like this is my new home. Charming."
Sneering in contempt at her surroundings, Shauni sat herself down on what she supposed was some sort of bed. Perfect, just perfect. Home had been better than this, even with government agents and snooping neighbors breathing down her neck.

Her parents had understood her problem, unlike everyone else. She had to let her energy out, or else she could die from the immense radiation and power.

..All part of her 'gift'

" More like a curse," she muttered to herself, throwing herself down on the bed.

"...Kinda lonesome here, but..Xavier's wouldn't take me in a million years. They don't understand how I have to let my powers out, and no matter what, they will be destructive. It's not my fault, and yet people treat me like a monster."

She narrowed her glowing, orange eyes.

"..But I'll make people understand. I swear it."

[avalanche]

Lance walked in coming from the kitchen, "O hi..Im lance Avlers or you can call me Avalnche" He smiled

[Shauni]

Shauni looked him over for a moment, considering how to reply. She would have made a smart remark, but, she was far too lazy to come up with anything right now.

"..Hey. Name's Shauni."

[avalanche]

"so..whats up?" He asked nicly

[Shauni]

She shrugged. " Nothing much really. Just trying to figure out the best way to vent my powers. See, I need to let them out, or.."
She smirked. " Well, let's just say this room will get major re-decoration.."

[avalanche]

He shrugged, "Like I care if you let your powers out, I could re-decorate myself but, Im to lazy..anyways" He smiled with a little laugh

[Shauni]

" If you say so," she chuckled. " I just hope you're not against the heat, otherwise...Well, you'll see."
Smirking, she moved her hand over a small table that was near her bed, her eyes glowing softly as she did. Once she removed her hand, a good portion of the table was melted, and she gave a slight nod.

" That feels much better."

She looked back over at Avalanche. " so, what are you, the welcoming commitee? Don't seem to be many mutants in this place at all.."

[avalanche]

"Yeah Im the welcomng commitee im also the Brotherhood leader, O and nice thing you got there your melting aility, so..I guess you want me to leave right?" He said looking at her

[Shauni]

She shrugged. " Only if ya want. I can't control you or anything, I was just warning you. My powers have nasty side effects associated with them sometimes, and I don't want to be responsible for anything happening to you or anyone else in this place. Heck, I'll get kicked out again.."

She looked away for a moment. Maybe she should have told him the consequences of solar-related fire. Like, well, radiation and ultraviolet rays. She was dangerous, and though she detested the fact, the kids in this particular side of the mutants seemed to enjoy causing chaos. Would they kick her out if they found out she didn't?

Nah. She had quite a temper, and loved to fight. She supposed those were grounds enough for her to stay.

Curious, she looked back at him.
" Since I assume you are a mutant too, I just have one question. What can you do?"

[avalanche]

He smiled, and though she was kinda of cute, "huh, o what can I can I do..Uh..well.." He shook his head, "Ill show yeah.." He raised his arms his eyes rolling into the back of his head, creating an earthquake, rettling the whole house, a mintute pasted and his eyes came back his hands dropping to his sides looking at her, "yeah.." He smiled still thinking she was cute, he leaned againest the wall, looking at her.

[Shauni]

She gave a smirk of approval, looking him over. " Neat trick you've got there. Pretty sweet power, if you ask me. Not like mine, or the lesser one I'm trying to perfect, but.."
She shrugged, letting her voice trail off. Why bother him with incessant rambling? She wanted to fit in here, and talking nonstop wasn't going to do it.

" Bet you've taught those other mutants a lesson a couple of times, eh?"

[avalanche]

"Cool.." He said looking at her, "And yeah on and off I teach them lessons.." He smirked, "so..d**n why is she so cute" He muttered hoping she couldnt hear him. He smiled alittle and looked a thte ground.

[Shauni]

She flashed a cheesy grin, suggesting that she'd heard. But then again, maybe she was just playing along and trying to make him even more uneasy than he already was? Maybe..Maybe not.
She stood up from the bed and gave a light yawn.
" Well, I've taken up too much of your important time. Thanks for the welcome. I'd better go introduce myself to everyone else here."

Waving at him, she started to leave the room.

He stood there and quickly grabed her arm and kissed her feeling really stupid he puled away, "sorry...your..your just to d**n cute..." He walked out feeling really embrassed, but more less happy he'd kissed her.

[Shauni]

Her face flushed in embarrasment, but, she quickly covered it up with a smirk, apparently enjoying what had just happened. " Yeah, you too," she chuckled as he walked out, her face still beet-red.
" Well, I hope he doesn't have one of them nasty side effects," she muttered to herself. "
...Like sunburn..."

Yes, she was one of the more dangerous mutants. Her powers with solar fire came at a high price. She emitted both radiation -and- harmful UV rays for a while every time she used her powers. She just hoped he hadn't gotten any of them. That would be quite unlucky for her.
