As if on cue, a glint of light came from somewhere off in the distance. Though it wasn't directed toward his question, the light was indeed a small portion of Shauni's powers, releasing themselves in the middle of the desert.
After she was done releasing her power, she laid back a little on the sand. Heat was no biggie for her, as her strongest power dealt with solar-esque fire. In fact, absorbing harmful sun rays was just a daily routine.
..Even though she had to go well out of her way to find a place with less ozone protection. The Desert, for instance.

Iceman saw the ray and decided to check it out. I mean, what else was there to do in the middle of a desert? He was growing weak from the heat, so he was a little dellusional. Iceman stumbled towards the light.
"Pretty pancakes!" he exlaimed. "Isn't this just grand? Hee hee!"

Shauni arched a brow in surprise as Iceman showed up, ranting about pancakes.
" Boy, the heat's gotten to you, hasn't it?"
She released the last of the energy that refused to stay within, and stood up.
" Who the heck are you, and why are you in the middle of the desert?"
Curiously, she tilted her head as she approached him. Well, it wasn't everyday you see someone like this in the desert.

Iceman's eyes immediately lit up when he saw Shauni.
"STRAWBERRY!" he shouted.
He started to run, but he was running like a drunk person, as the heat really was getting to him. Stumbling towards Shauni, he licked his lips.
"I love strawberries," Iceman said.

She sighed. " Well, as much as I'd hate to do this, I've got no choice."
Smirking, she charged up a blast of fire in her hands that took the shape of a small, minature sun.
" Time to snap you out of it, boy.."
Laughing to herself, she fired the blast at him, hoping it would knock some sense into him. If he tried to eat her, well...Let's just say she would teach him a lesson he'd never forget.

Iceman was blasted onto the floor. Clearly she didn't know that heat just makes it worse.
"Your not a strawberry? Your a MUFFIN!" he yelled. The look on his face was verry happy, as he didn't know where he was or what type of situation he was in.

She growled to herself. Clearly, she wasn't getting through to him at all. Better try something else.
" Well, it's weaker, but.."
She held her arm out toward him, attempting to manipulate the gravity around him so that he went flying off. Now, granted, it was her weaker ability, but..Hell, she needed practice with it. This seemed like the perfect time./

Iceman approached Shauni not noticing the blast of gravity.
"Can I- UGH!" he said while the blast hit him sending him thirty feet back. "What was that for!?" Iceman yelled slowly getting up. "Can't you see I was having breakfast?"
He looked around slowly and then realized something.
"I'M IN A DESERT!?"

Shauni nodded, folding her arms against her chest. " Yeah. You were irritating me by calling me food. I had no other choice."
She arched a dark brow again. " How the hell do you wind up in the middle of Egypt if you were having breakfast back in the states? That seems a little far-fetched, even for us mutuants."

She didn't tell him which one, as she hadn't seen him at the Brotherhood's mansion.
" I'm just as stumped as you are. I was sitting here, minding my own business, when you tried to eat me."

Iceman slightly laughed, sweat rolling down his face.
"Sorry bout that," he said nervously. He had no clue why he randomly decided to eat her. The heat was starting to get to him again. "Do you taste good?"

She narrowed her eyes. " No, I don't. And if you even think of trying, I'll burn you to a crisp, understood?"
Her eyes glowed dangerously. She obviously wasn't afraid of using force, especially if someone irritated her.
Perhaps another reason she was in the brotherhood.

Iceman licked his lips again.
"Mmm..." he said slowly. Iceman imagined holding a fork and eating on a chicken. A fork, made of ice, appeared in his left hand and a knife, made of ice, in his right.
"Chicken?"
