Name:Dorian Leech
Code name: Leech
Gender: Male
Powers:Has the capacity to “turn off’ other mutants’ powers as well as shut down technology with “screams,” or controlled releases of energy.
Occupation: (Student, teacher, etc..) Teacher at the X-Men
Brief Description of Character:
X-Men or Brotherhood or Acolytes: X-men
Small History: Dorian's mother kept him inside his house for most of his life, fearing the ridicule he would face if he went out in public due to his bumpy gray skin. She would not expose him to any media and did not want him watching the news, for fear it would upset him. His mother almost wouldn’t take him to the store with her, because people would always look at him strangely.
She was in complete denial that her son was a mutant, just insisting he was “sick.” And indeed the boy did express physical symptoms, including headaches.
It was later learned that this was because he had too much energy pent up from not having used his power. As soon as he did, the headaches cleared up. Dorian had seen the X-Men on TV and went to see them. He was in the middle of a street with a mutant-human battle raging around him when Spyke leaped in front of him, taking a bolt from a laser that would have incinerated Dorian. Dorian cried out for the warring parties to stop, and that cry echoed. The waves produced shut down every source and form of energy in their path, including mutant powers. Following these events, Professor X spoke with Dorian's mother about possibly letting him attend Xavier’s School. She was ambivalent, and whether she ever did let him, we don’t know.
Rogue and the X-Men later used Leech to their advantage when up against Apocalypse, as they had S.H.I.E.L.D. fly the boy in to the battle site. He was integral in that battle: Rogue absorbed his powers in order to neutralize the threat of En Sabah Nur.
