Name: Wanda Maximoff
Code name: The Scarlet Witch
Gender: Female
Powers: The ability to warp and alter fields of probability using bolts of chaos energy "Hex Bolts".
Occupation: Student
Brief Description of Character:
Average height
Curvacious figure
Dark features
Light skin
Wanda, for lack of a better word, is confused. Without really understanding why, she has a great dislike for white sweaters, and can't stand the movie "Gothica". She even has moments when thinking about her father or brother causes her powers to flare up and things end up either exploding or melting.
X-Men or Brotherhood or Acolytes: Brotherhood
Small History:
Wanda's powers manifested at an early age and quickly went beyond even her father's (Magneto) control. Unable to handle it anymore, he had her committed to a mental institution when she was only eight years old. She was permanently traumatized by the event, having been abandoned by her only living parent and her own twin brother. She grew, as did her hatred for the men in her family, into a dangerous creature bent on revenge.
Mystique took advantage of this hatred and helped Wanda escape from the institution in hopes of having the young mutant go after Magneto for her. Wanda was placed in the care of an old sorceress named Agatha Harkness in order to train her wild powers into something more easily controlled. Wanda learned to focus her abilities as well as her mind - but that focus was never taken from her obsession to kill her father.
Wanda lived beside her brother grudgingly (she still resented him for not trying to help her) along with the other members of Mystique's Brotherhood. She kept to herself mostly, constantly trying to avoid the unwanted attentions of Toad, who seemed to take quite a fancy to her.
She became The Scarlet Witch, using her abilities to hunt down Magneto and try to kill him. She actually came close, but her father soon found a way to stop her.
Magneto orchestrated a plot to lure Wanda to his base where he had Mastermind alter her memories and make her forget everything in her past that caused her to hate him so much. He had memories of abandonment replaced with trips to the carnival, and the long years of living in a cell replaced with long holidays and picnics in the park.
Now calm, Wanda's hunt for Magneto ended and she resumed living a life she thought was real. She remained with the brotherhood, but instead followed her father's orders thinking that's the way it had always been.
To this day Wanda hasn't gotten her real memories back. She still feels a strange unfamiliarity toward her father, but follows his orders nonetheless.
Though it could only be a matter of time and a push in the wrong direction.
